Get Rid of Fat With CoolSculpting®
Many men and women have found themselves struggling to get rid of excess fat in areas such as the abdomen, back, or arms. While some patients are able to treat these concerns by going to the gym and sticking to a healthy diet, others may not have the same luck and require cosmetic assistance.
However, many people wish to get the results they desire without having to undergo surgery. Fortunately, CoolSculpting® can eliminate stubborn fat and create a slimmer, more attractive figure without the need for drastic surgery.
What Is CoolSculpting®?
CoolSculpting® is an FDA-approved, non-surgical procedure that uses cooling technology to eliminate fat from multiple areas of the body. During your treatment, your surgeon uses the device to apply controlled cooling to stubborn fat deposits. The fat cells will freeze and, over time, die. The dead cells are then eliminated through your body’s metabolic processes.
Should I Consider CoolSculpting®?
CoolSculpting® is ideal for patients who have had trouble ridding their bodies of those last few pounds with diet and exercise. If you are considering undergoing our CoolSculpting® treatment, it is important that you are in good health and have realistic expectations of what the procedure can achieve. Candidates should also be close to their goal weight. The main advantages of this non-surgical treatment include:
- Little to no downtime
- Multiple treatment areas
- Long-lasting results
What’s the difference between CoolSculpting® and Liposuction?
While CoolSculpting® and liposuction are great ways to remove fat and achieve slimmer contours, there are a few differences.
CoolSculpting® is ideal for patients who seek a non-invasive fat removal solution. This means you do not need to worry about scarring. However, it is best suited to patients who only require minimal fat removal. Liposuction, on the other hand, is an invasive procedure that requires incisions to be made along the treated area to insert a small tube (cannula) to remove the fat. It is able to remove more fat than CoolSculpting®.
Liposuction is performed on an outpatient basis but requires a recovery period that can last a few weeks to make sure your wounds heal. CoolSculpting® is also performed on an outpatient basis and takes about one hour to complete. However, there is no pain and zero recovery time.
