Here’s a look at the top five lists of both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures for both men and women in 2015 and how they compare to the results from 2014.

Top 5 Male Surgical Cosmetic Procedures

In 2015, the top five surgical cosmetic procedures stayed the same as the top five in 2014, with a slight change in numbers. The top five list for 2015 compared to 2014 is:

  1. Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping)
    Total male procedures: 53,248 out of 217,979 – 24% of total procedures
    Down 3% from 2014
  2. Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)
    Total male procedures: 29,906 out of 203,934 – 15% of total procedures
    Up 2% from 2014
  3. Gynecomastia (breast reduction in men)
    Total male procedures: 27,456 out of 27,456 – 100% of total procedures
    Up 5% from 2014
  4. Liposuction
    Total male procedures: 25,656 out of 222,051 – 12% of total procedures
    Up 5% from 2014
  5. Rhytidectomy (facelift)
    Total male procedures: 11,963 out of 125,711 – 10% of total procedures
    Up 1% from 2014

Top 5 Male Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures

Just like with the top five surgical cosmetic procedures for men, the top five non-surgical male procedures remained the same as 2014, with some slight changes to the numbers. The top five list for male non-surgical cosmetic procedures is:

  1. Botulinum toxin type A (Botox and Dysport)
    Total male procedures: 428,542 out of 6,757,198 – 6% of total procedures
    Up 4% from 2014
  2. Laser hair removal
    Total male procedures: 187,784 out of 1,116,708 – 17% of total procedures
    Down 2% from 2014
  3. Microdermabrasion
    Total male procedures: 147,020 out of 800,340 – 18% of total procedures
    Down 7% from 2014
  4. Chemical peel
    Total male procedures: 99,243 out of 1,310,252 – 8% of total procedures
    Up 1% from 2014
  5. Soft tissue fillers
    Total male procedures: 96,593 out of 2,440,724 – 4% of total procedures
    Up 4% from 2014

Top 5 Female Surgical Cosmetic Procedures

The top five cosmetic surgical procedures from women in 2015 varied slightly from 2014, with most of the same procedures making it onto the top five list. The top five list for female surgical cosmetic procedures is:

  1. Breast Augmentation (augmentation mammoplasty)
    Total female procedures: 279,143 out of 279,143 – 100% of total procedures
    Down 2% from 2014
  2. Liposuction
    Total female procedures: 196,395 out of 222,051 – 88% of total procedures
    Up 5% from 2014
  3. Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery)
    Total female procedures: 174,028 out of 203,934 – 85% of total procedures
    Down 2% from 2014
  4. Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping)
    Total female procedures: 164,731 out of 217,979 – 76% of total procedures
    Up 1% from 2014
  5. Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)
    Total female procedures: 123,003 out of 127,967 – 96% of total procedures
    Up 9% from 2014

When it comes to non-surgical cosmetic procedures, men and women agree on which procedures should be in the top five. However, they don’t quite agree on the exact order in which they appear on the list. The top five female non-surgical cosmetic procedures in 2015 were:

    Total female procedures: 6,328,656 out of 6,757,198 – 94% of total procedures
    Up 1% from 2014
  2. Soft tissue fillers
    Total female procedures: 2,344,131 out of 2,440,724 – 96% of total procedures
